Alex Witten
Principal
Alex Witten has been involved in the property industry in Cairns for over 25 years. He has been the Principal and Licensee of his own agency for the past ten years.
Alex's knowledge of land subdivision development is
extensive.
Having qualified as a surveyor
Alex's early work experience covered the detailed and
technical side of land subdivision, but years later Alex was
appointed marketing manager for the Tony Price Group of
Companies. As such he broadened his subdivision
knowledge to include all aspects of marketing and sales,
acquisition and finance.
Alex has been responsible for
marketing the following subdivisions:
Alex has
always been an enthusiastic supporter of the Real Estate
Institute of Queensland, being the inaugural Chairman of the
Property Management Chapter, and remaining Chairman for 4
year. In 1995, Alex was elected to the board of
Directors of the REIQ and served in this capacity for 5
consecutive years. He also occupied a board position
in the Real Estate Industrial Organization of Employers, a
position also held for 5 years.
As an accomplished and
experienced auctioneer, Alex is sort by numerous agencies to
conduct their auctions. During the course of his
career as an auctioneer he has auctioned over two thousand
properties.
Alex has given generously of
his skill to charities, such as the 'Cystic Fibrosis
Association', and local schools and kindergartens to conduct
charity auctions on their behalf.
Alex is a foundation member of
the REIQ Auctioneer Chapter and has been a member for ten
years.
In 1995, Alex proudly accepted the REIQ Award for Excellence
for the 'Agency of the Year', an award proudly displayed in
the foyer of our office.
Alex remains at the forefront
of the real estate industry and has been responsible for
$100's of millions of sales locally in Cairns. As a
real estate professional, he has no peer.
Jeff Eather
Sales Consultant
Commenced in Real Estate on the South Coast of NSW in December 1992 as a Salesman servicing the areas of the Eurobodalla Shire in Residential and Rural Sales.
In 1994, Jeff decided that Real Estate was to be a long term career and commenced study in Real Estate Agency as well as Stock and Station Agency at the University of Western Sydney’s Faculty of Land Economics and was successful in completing these courses over a 13 week full time period.
Armed with the new qualifications, Jeff applied for and was granted both his Real Estate and Stock & Station Agency Licenses on the 21st of September 1994.
Further study led to the granting of a Business Agents License on the 5th of February 2001.
Over the period up until December 2000, Jeff both managed his own Agency and in the later part of that period worked as Licensee in Charge of an Independent Agency in the small coastal village of Bawley Point in the Shoalhaven Shire of NSW.
In January 2001, Jeff was approached by a franchise of Elders Real Estate and offered the Licensee in Charge position of their Broulee (NSW) office which was accepted, in 2005 this business expanded and Jeff then took on the roll as Manager/Licensee in Charge of Elders Moruya where he became well known and respected for his knowledge and commitment to both Residential and Rural Sales.
In November 2007, Jeff relocated with his family in Cairns and soured his Real Estate License in Queensland under mutual recognition with NSW, Jeff’s License was granted in January 2008 and he commenced working again with Elders before moving to the more centrally located Godwin Witten & Associates.
The location of the Godwin Witten & Associates office provides our Clients with wonderful exposure to their property with high walk by traffic and many Government and Tourism industry Facilities in the location, our window displays are viewed by many potential owner occupiers and investors.

Clients that have email facilities will receive a weekly realestate.com.au update that shows the amount of views during the week as well as through the total marketing programme.
Phone and written marketing updates will be by negotiation at point of listing your property with me.
Jenny Sheppard
Office Manager/Senior Property Manager
Jenny has been recognised as an outstanding property manger since she first entered this demanding vocation more than 20 years ago. During this time she has won industry awards for her professionalism and commitment. She has now occupied her position with Godwin Witten & Associates for 15 years and her contribution is substantial.
Apart from managing a portfolio of properties Jenny is also responsible for the operation of the trust account and the general office accounts. Jenny is responsible for the payment of accounts and the disbursement of rent monies to landlords.
Margaret Cone
Senior Portfolio Manager
Margaret Cone has been a property manager for over 20 years, the past 14 of which she has been a senior portfolio manager with Godwin Witten & Associates.
Margaret’s knowledge of property management and body corporate matters is second to none – in fact property managers from other agencies often ring her for advice. Whilst she specialises in managing properties in the city area her expertise is such that she is knowledgeable in all Cairns districts. Her commitment and dedication to her landlords is total resulting in landlord referrals from all over the world.
Liz Moll
Portfolio Manager
Liz has been an important part of the Godwin Witten team for over 7 years, having trained as a property manager after a career in banking. She manages a portfolio of properties predominantly on the southern side of Cairns. Her popularity as a property manager is evident in the growth of her portfolio and the number of landlords who recommend her to their friends.

Annmaree has been working with Godwin Witten and Associates nearing 3 years now, with 8 years property management experience covering the northern beaches, city and south of Cairns. Originally her career was in government housing dealing directly with the public. This sparked Annmaree’s interest and ongoing commitment within the real estate industry. This commitment shines through in the solid relationships she has built with both landlord and tenant alike.
